Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Teófilo Abreu kicked off to start the match. After having played for 2 minutes, Tarcísio Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montouro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarcísio Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Caires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teófilo Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Teófilo Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Caires having to interfere. A collision led to Montouro getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Éder Ramalho hit a great ball. Alexandrino Cerqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcísio Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute of the match Sidónio Sarmento shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Caires showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carlos Caires stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raul Rijo's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Carlos Caires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teófilo Abreu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Montouro defense, Raul Rijo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Caires. The Montouro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Caires should have stopped the shot. Jacob Lemos kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. It was beautiful to see ZionFC's Domingos Noronha in action when he in the 35th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance!

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tarcísio Alves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexandrino Cerqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tarcísio Alves in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Duarte Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Danilo Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Montouro's Tarcísio Alves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandrino Cerqueira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 62nd minute Teófilo Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Caires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Montouro's zone, Raul Rijo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Caires came out of the goal and Raul Rijo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the match, Raul Rijo notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Montouro's Carlos Caires. Carlos Caires was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alexandrino Cerqueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Éder Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 75 minutes, Raul Rijo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZionFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Rijo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Danilo Carneiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandrino Cerqueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Danilo Carneiro ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarcísio Alves in the 79th minute of play forced ZionFC's goalkeeper Alexandrino Cerqueira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raul Rijo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Carlos Caires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandrino Cerqueira having to interfere. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Montouro! In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for ZionFC. Domingos Noronha stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Carlos Caires. 2-3. 98 minutes into the match, Montouro's goal looked a bit too open when Teófilo Abreu came free, but Carlos Caires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
