In the 5th minute, Diamantino Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alcino Gameiro came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Guerreiro's Viriato Vieira. But to his dismay, Viriato Vieira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Viriato Vieira sped through SC Ribas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alcino Gameiro. When Rodrigo Alvarenga fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Ribas's protests and gave Rodrigo Alvarenga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Rodrigo Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 20 minutes of play, SC Guerreiro's Viriato Vieira made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alcino Gameiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vasco Maltez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Luís Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rdth minute of the game Viriato Vieira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Ribas's Alcino Gameiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vasco Maltez charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vasco Maltez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SC Ribas's Vasco Maltez got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The audience was convinced that Viriato Vieira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alcino Gameiro was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. SC Guerreiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Viriato Vieira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alcino Gameiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Viriato Vieira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Alcino Gameiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 61st minute Viriato Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alcino Gameiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dário Santarém struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Luís Moutinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Ribas. After having played for 69 minutes, Viriato Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Guerreiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viriato Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alcino Gameiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diamantino Machado in the 70th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diamantino Machado got free with Alcino Gameiro in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 75 minutes into the match, SC Ribas's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Vieira came free, but Alcino Gameiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Viriato Vieira sped through SC Ribas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alcino Gameiro. The crowd rose to their feet as Diamantino Machado kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alcino Gameiro. That made the score 0-6 in the 91 minute of play. Diamantino Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Alcino Gameiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Ribas's zone, Viriato Vieira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alcino Gameiro came out of the goal and Viriato Vieira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The SC Ribas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Guerreiro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
