Renato Bernardes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duarte Moniz in the 2nd minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Máximo Brás was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Arronches's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Pereiras the free kick. In the 24th minute, SC Pereiras's Duarte Moniz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Amílcar Brochado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Henriques having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Emílio Faria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Pereiras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in SC Arronches's zone, Emílio Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Renato Bernardes came out of the goal and Emílio Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of SC Pereiras booed when SC Arronches was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederico Ponte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duarte Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renato Bernardes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Moniz in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Duarte Moniz to make the kick off. A nice corner shot did that Filipe Cruz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Renato Bernardes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Duarte Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Arronches were furious when Vítor Quintanilha was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. If Emílio Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Micael Lousada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 minutes, Isidro Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Arronches and the SC Pereiras players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute of the match Filipe Cruz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Renato Bernardes skillfully saved the ball. Renato Bernardes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Amílcar Brochado managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Arronches's supporters rose to their feet, but Amílcar Brochado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Henriques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Catarino Lisboa fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Pereiras's protests and gave Catarino Lisboa a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Emílio Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Pereiras's supporters rose to their feet, but Emílio Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renato Bernardes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emílio Faria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renato Bernardes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Amílcar Brochado struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Afonso Henriques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Arronches. When Frederico Ponte fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Arronches's protests and gave Frederico Ponte a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Arronches's Frederico Ponte got a free kick in the 96th minute. Filipe Cruz, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
