Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. But to his dismay, Jorge Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jorge Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Viana having to interfere. 8 minutes into the match, SC Gafa's Afonso Coelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emílio Viana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to SC Alijo getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Afonso Paiva hit a great ball. If Jorge Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emílio Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Alijo's goalkeeper Emílio Viana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. He walked away shaking his head. In the 28th minute of the match, Afonso Coelho tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emílio Viana saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 29 played minutes SC Alijo got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Paiva. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xavier Viegas to make the kick off. If Xavier Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 55 minutes into the game, SC Alijo's Jorge Nogueira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eduardo Leiria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Xavier Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. A beautiful save bye SC Alijo's goalie prevented a goal. Emílio Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Lopes in the 80th minute of the match. Jorge Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had been going on for 98 minutes, SC Alijo's Óscar Abreu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Eduardo Leiria.
