Marco Matias's late challenge caught a SC Alijo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Jorge Nogueira made a precise shot to the right of Cassiano Leão. Vinhaça FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Vinhaça FC's zone, Gabriel Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cassiano Leão came out of the goal and Gabriel Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vinhaça FC's goalkeeper Cassiano Leão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Vinhaça FC got a freekick which was hit by Armindo Santana. Vinhaça FC's Cassiano Leão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Vinhaça FC from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Jorge Nogueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cassiano Leão was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of Vinhaça FC booed when SC Alijo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Vinhaça FC's Adérito Vale fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 67 minutes into the game, Luís Valente was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vinhaça FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Alijo the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vinhaça FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! Cassiano Leão had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Óscar Abreu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 69th minute, Óscar Abreu made a precise shot to the right of Cassiano Leão. Vinhaça FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Adérito Vale struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Emílio Viana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vinhaça FC. Cassiano Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Viegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Cassiano Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xavier Viegas's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Vinhaça FC's Cassiano Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Viegas in the 91st minute of play. Emílio Viana was a little too slow when Adérito Vale got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 98th minute. The score was now 3-1.
