With a little luck, SC Arraiolos's André Fernandes got control of the ball when Teófilo Lages tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teófilo Lages fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Fernandes having to interfere. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Obrais! Sandro Carneiro hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, Teófilo Lages got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Arraiolos's zone, Teófilo Lages stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Fernandes came out of the goal and Teófilo Lages tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice moves Teófilo Lages could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which André Fernandes however easily saved by the left post. SC Arraiolos's André Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Gentil in the 40th minute of play. With a little luck, SC Arraiolos's André Fernandes got control of the ball when Teófilo Lages tried to sneak it across the goal line. Santiago Gentil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gaspar Branco to make the kick off. SC Obrais's Rogério Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save SC Obrais from getting a goal against them. Gaspar Branco might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rogério Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaspar Branco ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 67 minutes, Gaspar Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Arraiolos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaspar Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teófilo Lages's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Fernandes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. If Rafael Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Teófilo Lages in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Fernandes saved SC Arraiolos from getting behind. The supporters of SC Obrais booed when SC Arraiolos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, Rafael Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sérgio Aleixo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Teófilo Lages fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Fernandes having to interfere. After 86 played minutes SC Arraiolos got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Queirós. Rafael Amorim came free with the goalkeeper in the 97th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rogério Amaral could save by the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Arraiolos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
