Vale de espinho's attentive Henrique Pinheiro managed to snatch the ball when Cláudio Maia made a throw-in in the 5th minute of the game. Tiago Jesus made in the 14th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Vale de espinho's Cristóvão Guerreiro. Junior Bagard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Alexandre Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Junior Bagard in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Vale de espinho's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Coimbra came free, but Gabriel Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Coimbra in the 22nd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Rodrigo Coimbra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catasol FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alexandre Nunes made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Junior Bagard sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Amadeu Assis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vale de espinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Assis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amadeu Assis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Alexandre Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Catasol FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Santos to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute, Rodrigo Coimbra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Junior Bagard was the one to do the kick off. Vale de espinho's Gabriel Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Vale de espinho from getting a goal against them. Amadeu Assis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Vale de espinho's Gabriel Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Reis in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Reis in the 67th minute of play forced Vale de espinho's goalkeeper Gabriel Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th match minute, Catasol FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Santos to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Coimbra in the 74th minute. António Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The supporters of Catasol FC booed when Vale de espinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Amadeu Assis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vale de espinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Assis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rodrigo Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeu Assis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle went the supporters of Catasol FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Vale de espinho side.
