After 30 minutes of play SC Catassol's Júlio Santos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Júlio Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Sidónio Pestana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Laércio Lamego charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laércio Lamego the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. During the 70th minute of the match António Malafaia completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave António Malafaia a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 71 played minutes SC Catassol got a freekick which was hit by António Malafaia. Delfim Vilaça, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal.
