Paulo Azevedo hit a great ball. Bernardo Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Romarigaes getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Bernardo Andrade hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the match, SC Romarigaes's goal looked a bit too open when António Morais came free, but Eusébio Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusébio Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Morais in the 12th minute of the match. Adolfo Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Soares in the 13th minute of play. The nice shot from Cláudio Cunha in the 19thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Adolfo Leite had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After some careless play in the Luzianes defense, Cláudio Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Leite. The Luzianes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Leite should have stopped the shot. After 28 minutes, Cláudio Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Romarigaes and the Luzianes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Romarigaes's Cláudio Cunha got a free kick in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Albertino Monteiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eusébio Soares. SC Romarigaes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albertino Monteiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 35 minutes into the match, Luzianes's goalkeeper Adolfo Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cláudio Cunha. Rui Soares struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Adolfo Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Romarigaes. In the 37th minute, António Morais got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Luzianes's António Morais sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusébio Soares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If António Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albertino Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusébio Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Morais, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Rui Soares made the kick off in the second half. Albertino Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Soares having to interfere. Adolfo Leite stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cláudio Cunha's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Soares in the 70th minute of play forced Luzianes's goalkeeper Adolfo Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Cláudio Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Veiga hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Albertino Monteiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusébio Soares having to make a save. A collision led to SC Romarigaes getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Tiago Soares hit a great ball. In the 90th minute of the match Alfredo Assunção sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eusébio Soares skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Luzianes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
