Sebal FC's Juvenal Ribas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Barros in the 4th minute of play. When Diogo Simões fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Arrotea's protests and gave Diogo Simões a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Diogo Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquim Carrasqueira's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Heitor Simões on his right side and into the goal. 7 minutes into the game it was 0-1. After 10 played minutes Sebal FC got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Azeredo. Domingos Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Juvenal Ribas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Domingos Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Arrotea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 21 minutes into the match, SC Arrotea's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Paixão came free, but Heitor Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heitor Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Salgado in the 23rd minute of the match. After 26 played minutes, Sebal FC's Adélio Paixão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Heitor Simões came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sebal FC reached it. 30 minutes into the match, Sebal FC's Maurício Salgado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Heitor Simões narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Arrotea's goalkeeper Heitor Simões, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to SC Arrotea getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Gaspar Gaspar hit a great ball. If Rodrigo Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 38 minutes, Domingos Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Arrotea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Rodrigo Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Arrotea's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juvenal Ribas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maurício Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Heitor Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Sebal FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodrigo Barros made a kick off. Domingos Nascimento scored 1-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juvenal Ribas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Sebal FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Palmiro Brito hit a great ball. In the 59th minute of the match Sérgio Setúbal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juvenal Ribas skillfully saved the ball. If Rodrigo Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Domingos Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Juvenal Ribas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When SC Arrotea's Rodrigo Barros in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sebal FC's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Ferraz during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Sebal FC's zone, Rodrigo Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Ribas came out of the goal and Rodrigo Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Domingos Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the SC Arrotea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Domingos Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Ribas having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SC Arrotea fully deserved thier win.
