Paulo Freitas's late challenge caught a C.D.do Outeiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basílio Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Guerreiro hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After 18 played minutes, C.D.do Outeiro's Higino Cunha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Basílio Delgado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C.D.do Outeiro reached it. If Manuel Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Luís Meireles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.D.do Outeiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bemlhevai the free kick. Luís Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute of the match João Matias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laurentino Lisboa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bemlhevai's Basílio Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zarco Alves in the 32nd minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Paulo Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Adolfo Morais made the kick off in the second half. Diogo Santarém kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 57th minute of the match Emanuel Guerreiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Laurentino Lisboa skillfully saved the ball. In the 60th minute, Daniel Carmo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Oliveira in the 63rd minute of play forced C.D.do Outeiro's goalkeeper Laurentino Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Nóbrega could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Basílio Delgado made a huge save. When Bemlhevai's Adolfo Morais in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Bemlhevai booed when C.D.do Outeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Carmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Freitas got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Basílio Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zarco Alves in the 79th minute of play. C.D.do Outeiro's Pedro Nóbrega got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Carvalho hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 93 minutes in the game, Zarco Alves dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. C.D.do Outeiro's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
