Fábio Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Vivaldo Caetano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aparício Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute Fábio Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo Caetano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Ramos took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vivaldo Caetano. Vivaldo Caetano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Vivaldo Caetano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, CF Belenenses's Mário Alcântara got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Fábio Ramos notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of CF Belenenses's Vivaldo Caetano. Vivaldo Caetano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Duarte Mendes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Afonso Carneiro made a huge save. In the 32nd play minute Duarte Mendes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Afonso Carneiro. 1-2. In the 37th minute, Fábio Ramos made a precise shot to the right of Vivaldo Caetano. CF Belenenses's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Óscar Durães kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Delongo were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Torres was the one to do the kick off. Fábio Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Vivaldo Caetano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fábio Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Delongo fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Delongo's Luís Torres looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Afonso Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Óscar Durães in the 65th minute of the match. 71 minutes in the game, Luís Torres fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vivaldo Caetano having to interfere. In the 77th minute Aparício Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Mário Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aparício Teixeira in the 86th minute of play. A collision led to Delongo getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Sandro Correia hit a great ball. Afonso Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Mendes in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aparício Teixeira in the 92nd minute of play forced Delongo's goalkeeper Afonso Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Fábio Ramos could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Vivaldo Caetano however easily saved by the left post. Delongo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
