The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. PT BOYS FC's Fernando Brás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Machado in the 5th minute of play. When SC Crueis's João Macedo in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PT BOYS FC's goalie prevented a goal. Fernando Brás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Machado in the 11th minute of play. SC Crueis's João Macedo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to SC Crueis getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. João Macedo hit a great ball. PT BOYS FC's Fernando Brás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Macedo in the 27th minute of play. If Carlos Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Timóteo Nascimento dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Filipe Dias, 1-0. When Carlos Machado came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the SC Crueis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Machado couldn't finish the play. Fernando Brás showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Graciano Estrela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Filipe Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. A collision led to SC Crueis getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Rui Vaz hit a great ball. SC Crueis's Filipe Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timóteo Nascimento in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Campelo during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pedro Campelo kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Timóteo Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. SC Crueis's Carlos Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Macedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Brás. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Macedo ran back to his position shaking his head. 89 minutes in the game, João Macedo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fernando Brás having to interfere. Pedro Vilela kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timóteo Nascimento during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SC Crueis booed when PT BOYS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timóteo Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Macedo in the 93rd minute of play forced PT BOYS FC's goalkeeper Fernando Brás to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Graciano Estrela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filipe Dias having to make a save. Filipe Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timóteo Nascimento in the 96th minute of the match. SC Crueis's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
