After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Quintino Bulhosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carromeu's supporters rose to their feet, but Quintino Bulhosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jordão Flores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jordão Flores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quintino Bulhosa in the 15th minute. In the 21stth minute of the game Tiago Laureano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carromeu's Teófilo Abrantes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jordão Flores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Velasques, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The audience was convinced that Israel Gusmão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jordão Flores was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Tiago Laureano kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Jordão Flores took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Velasques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carromeu's Vivaldo Velasques got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quintino Bulhosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jordão Flores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quintino Bulhosa ran back to his position shaking his head. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiago Laureano to make the kick off. Teófilo Abrantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Laureano in the 51st minute of play. Rogério Bernardes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teófilo Abrantes having to make a save. When Álvaro Candeias fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carromeu's protests and gave Álvaro Candeias a yellow card for diving instead. Jordão Flores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Velasques in the 64th minute of the match. SC Riberinha's Jordão Flores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Velasques in the 69th minute of play. Tiago Laureano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Teófilo Abrantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 73 played minutes Carromeu got a freekick which was hit by Elias Flores.
