Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sardoeira FC's Nuno Assunção started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to SC Coroados getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Eduardo Dantas hit a great ball. If Alberto Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Moutinho in the 17th minute. Alberto Moutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Alfredo Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sardoeira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Coroados the free kick. Alfredo Queirós hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When Nuno Assunção came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Sardoeira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Assunção couldn't finish the play. After having played for 25 minutes, Nuno Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sardoeira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Assunção was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, SC Coroados's Alfredo Oliveira got control of the ball when Alberto Moutinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emílio Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ricardo Domingues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Lisboa in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Daniel Guerreiro made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Domingues. Sardoeira FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ricardo Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Lisboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. After 42 minutes Sardoeira FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuel Lopes who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Jaime Pacheco managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. A collision led to Sardoeira FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Francisco Amorim hit a great ball. Eduardo Dantas took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Domingues. Ricardo Domingues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 95 minutes, Bruno Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sardoeira FC and the SC Coroados players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Sardoeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Guerreiros short, quick shot in the 97thth minute got Ricardo Domingues to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. SC Coroados's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
