In the 14th minute Raimundo Azeredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Raimundo Azeredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Sobredo getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Cassiano Carreira hit a great ball. Edgar Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Moutinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Alexandre Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Macedo having to interfere. After 28 played minutes SC Sobredo got a freekick which was hit by Octávio Travassos. Aprígio Abreu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Américo Moura when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Raimundo Azeredo came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the SC Sobredo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimundo Azeredo couldn't finish the play. 45 minutes into the match, SC Sobredo's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Pacheco came free, but Edgar Macedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vermoeira FC's Américo Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Azeredo in the 47th minute of play.

After 54 played minutes Bruno Moutinho rounded SC Sobredo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Bruno Moutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Edgar Macedo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
