In the 29th minute Alexandre Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Machado's late challenge caught a FC Moldeiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Machado helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Moldeiros booed when Mata Mouros F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Alexandre Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Silveira having to interfere. In the 45th minute Alexandre Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leandro Gago received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rui Gonçalves came out and tried to block the shot, but Leandro Gago slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Machado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Mata Mouros F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Gago came free, but Rui Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mata Mouros F.C's goalkeeper Rui Gonçalves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 63 minutes, Domingos Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mata Mouros F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingos Alves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Domingos Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Silveira having to interfere. Torcato Lousada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Mata Mouros F.C defense, Leandro Gago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rui Gonçalves. The Mata Mouros F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui Gonçalves should have stopped the shot. 79 minutes into the game, Mata Mouros F.C's Domingos Alves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelo Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Cristiano Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Torcato Lousada fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Moldeiros's protests and gave Torcato Lousada a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Moldeiros getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Torcato Lousada hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Leandro Gago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Leandro Gago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domingos Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Marcelo Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Gago in the 98th minute of the match. The FC Moldeiros players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
