Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ivo Madruga kicked off to start the match. 6 minutes into the match, Ucanha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Veríssimo came free, but Aparício Bragança reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio Moutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Fiúza in the 8th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ucanha FC's Joaquim Fiúza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sérgio Moutinho. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. If Tarcísio Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, S.C.Espinho's Ivo Madruga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aparício Bragança narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 21 played minutes Ucanha FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Caires. Ucanha FC's Joaquim Fiúza got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Noel Veríssimo might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aparício Bragança. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Noel Veríssimo ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, S.C.Espinho's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Fiúza came free, but Sérgio Moutinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th match minute, Ucanha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adélio Simões to maneuver through the defense. Noel Veríssimo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ucanha FC's Aparício Bragança played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Madruga in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Jorge Caires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ivo Madruga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aparício Bragança having to interfere. When Vicente Horta was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 61 minutes had been played. After 62 played minutes S.C.Espinho got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Horta. Jorge Caires kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Noel Veríssimo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Aparício Bragança made a huge save. The supporters of Ucanha FC booed when S.C.Espinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 played minutes, Ucanha FC's Paulo Regalado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sérgio Moutinho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ucanha FC reached it. Aparício Bragança came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C.Espinho's Noel Veríssimo. But to his dismay, Noel Veríssimo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 81st minute Joaquim Fiúza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Moutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Ucanha FC's Aparício Bragança got control of the ball when Noel Veríssimo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Joaquim Fiúza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Noel Veríssimo got free with Aparício Bragança in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Caires's late challenge caught a S.C.Espinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Caires helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of S.C.Espinho booed when Ucanha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Caires didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ucanha FC's zone, Noel Veríssimo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aparício Bragança came out of the goal and Noel Veríssimo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
