An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Figueiredo in the 23rd minute of play forced Leça FC's goalkeeper Germano Amado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Diogo Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Medeiros was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Folharido booed when Leça FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilário Vilaverde didn't get a good kick on the ball. 52 minutes into the match, Leça FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Figueiredo came free, but Germano Amado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Folharido's Afonso Fernandes got a free kick in the 60th minute. When Hipólito Loureiro came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Leça FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipólito Loureiro couldn't finish the play. After having played for 75 minutes, Rui Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Folharido's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Figueiredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leça FC's Germano Amado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Figueiredo in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilário Vilaverde in the 93rd minute of play forced Folharido's goalkeeper Lucas Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
