The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eusébio Leme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Boteco do Cara's Eusébio Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Vale in the 25th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Boteco do Cara's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Neves came free, but Eusébio Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Vale in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusébio Leme saved Boteco do Cara from getting behind. If Paulo Aires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Leme stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel Vale's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. If Baltasar Graça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Vale struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Eusébio Leme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plisqueira FC. 44 minutes into the game, Hermenegildo Gouveia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boteco do Cara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Plisqueira FC the free kick. Hermenegildo Gouveia kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Paulo Aires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boteco do Cara's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Aires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Anjos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltasar Graça to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Plisqueira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Veiga to maneuver through the defense. Sandro Anjos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Aires in the 58th minute of the match. Paulo Aires might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandro Anjos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Aires ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 71st minute Abel Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltasar Graça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Sandro Anjos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Plisqueira FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Abel Vale hit a great ball. José Magalhães hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Paulo Neves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusébio Leme having to make a save. Boteco do Cara's Eusébio Leme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Boteco do Cara from getting a goal against them. In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for Plisqueira FC. Cândido Delgado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eusébio Leme. 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Magalhães during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Plisqueira FC's José Magalhães got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Boteco do Cara fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Plisqueira FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
