The supporters of Covas.F.C booed when Plisqueira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Augusto Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro Anjos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higino França having to interfere. Paulo Neves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Higino França made a huge save. 20 minutes into the game, Abel Vale recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Higino França. Abel Vale showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Plisqueira FC's Abel Vale, in the 43rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Plisqueira FC. Álvaro Mafra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Sandro Anjos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Abel Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Mendes charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Mendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Plisqueira FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play.
