Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Simão Macedo got the match started through his kick off. Duarte Gueifão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Eiro's Mariano Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domingos Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Macedo in the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Tomás Calheiros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Simoes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Eiro the free kick. The supporters of SC Eiro booed when SC Simoes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Calheiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simão Macedo in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domingos Quadros saved SC Simoes from getting behind. Mariano Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Domingos Quadros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simão Macedo in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domingos Quadros saved SC Simoes from getting behind. In the 26th minute Mariano Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 played minutes SC Simoes got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Calheiros. When António Lisboa fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Eiro's protests and gave António Lisboa a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Simoes booed when SC Eiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Lisboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Simão Macedo sped through SC Simoes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Domingos Quadros. 38 minutes into the game, SC Eiro's Simão Macedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domingos Quadros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If Simão Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Honorato Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Simoes's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorato Henriques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Duarte Gueifão was the one to do the kick off. Domingos Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Macedo in the 55th minute of the match. After 57 minutes of play, SC Eiro's Mariano Nunes made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domingos Quadros was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute, Simão Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Altino Camacho hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Simão Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simão Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Quadros having to interfere. Domingos Quadros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Macedo in the 96th minute of play.
