Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) When António Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Folgoso FC's protests and gave António Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Marinhas FC booed when Folgoso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ronaldo Lamego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the game, Marinhas FC's Diego Raposo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Bessa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Rogério Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Folgoso FC's Pedro Baptista in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marinhas FC's goalie prevented a goal. Ronaldo Lamego recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Marinhas FC's zone, Rogério Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Normando Carneiro came out of the goal and Rogério Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Normando Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Folgoso FC's Ricardo Bessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Raposo in the 27th minute of play. Pedro Baptista scored 1-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Normando Carneiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute, Rogério Castro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Normando Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, José Rodrigues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Normando Carneiro. José Rodrigues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Mário Assis took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Normando Carneiro. Marinhas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Baptista to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Rogério Castro notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Marinhas FC's Normando Carneiro. Normando Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Folgoso FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Fernando Lopes hit a great ball. Pedro Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Normando Carneiro having to interfere. Ricardo Bessa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldo Lamego in the 68th minute. If Pedro Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Fernando Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fernando Lopes charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Lopes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 77th minute, Fernando Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronaldo Lamego fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Bessa having to interfere. Rogério Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, Marinhas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Castro came free, but Normando Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronaldo Lamego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Folgoso FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Marinhas FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
