The tension between the Marinhas FC and the SC Eiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Eiro booed when Marinhas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Aires didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Vicente Figueiredo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Normando Carneiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 11th match minute, Marinhas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Aires to maneuver through the defense. Hugo Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Normando Carneiro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Marinhas FC's Joaquim Aires got a free kick in the 17th minute. Vicente Figueiredo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Normando Carneiro. Marinhas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. SC Eiro's Simão Macedo got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simão Macedo in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Normando Carneiro saved Marinhas FC from getting behind. 23 minutes into the game, Mariano Nunes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Normando Carneiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Marinhas FC booed when SC Eiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastião Garcia made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Ronaldo Lamego sent off a good shot on target. Normando Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastião Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marinhas FC's goalkeeper Normando Carneiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Raposo in the 60th minute of play forced SC Eiro's goalkeeper Sebastião Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 63rd minute, but Normando Carneiro got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Marinhas FC hanging dry this time. Mariano Nunes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Normando Carneiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Simão Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, João Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Normando Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Eiro played a much better game than Marinhas FC and deserved their victory. The Marinhas FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
