Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Inácio Soares kicked off to start the match. João Pinto made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Rui Abreu sent off a good shot on target. When Rui Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Rocas's protests and gave Rui Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes SC Rocas got a freekick which was hit by Rui Esteves. In the 8th minute, Rui Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catarino Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd match minute, SC Rocas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emílio Martins to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Sousa's Paulo Sousa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rui Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Duarte Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Soares in the 27th minute of play forced SC Rocas's goalkeeper Américo Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Rui Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Rocas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Rocas's Inácio Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rui Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the SC Rocas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Abreu couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, SC Rocas's goal looked a bit too open when Catarino Soares came free, but Américo Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Sousa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Barros to maneuver through the defense. Francisco Campos kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. A collision led to SC Rocas getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. David Guerreiro hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Catarino Soares to make the kick off. Sousa's Catarino Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 58 played minutes SC Rocas got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Gomes. If Catarino Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manuel Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Américo Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Soares in the 68th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Catarino Soares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Américo Silva was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 73rd match minute, Sousa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Sousa to maneuver through the defense. If Inácio Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catarino Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, SC Rocas's Rui Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Pinto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rogério Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Américo Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Catarino Soares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Sousa's Rogério Nogueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Américo Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Rui Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Rocas's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Pinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 98 minutes into the match, SC Rocas's goalkeeper Américo Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogério Nogueira. The SC Rocas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sousa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
