Hilário Raminhos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Leal having to interfere. Carnide's Bernardo Leal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Carnide from getting a goal against them. In a very dangerous position, a player in Carnide fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! Bernardo Leal had in the 10thth minute some difficulties stopping Miguel Macedo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. SC Barras were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Carnide's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Miguel Macedo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Hilário Raminhos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bernardo Leal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. André Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Vilalobos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Resende in the 19th minute of play forced SC Barras's goalkeeper Márcio Vilalobos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Carnide booed when SC Barras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Estrela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute André Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Vilalobos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Basílio Guerreiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonçalo Guarda's late challenge caught a SC Barras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonçalo Guarda helped the player get up and apologised. Gonçalo Guarda kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hilário Raminhos made a kick off. Eurico Vigário fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Leal having to interfere. The supporters of SC Barras booed when Carnide was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Guarda didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Barras's Miguel Macedo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carnide. With a little luck, SC Barras's Márcio Vilalobos got control of the ball when Basílio Guerreiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Afonso Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Basílio Guerreiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Resende was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 72nd minute. Carnide's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. André Resende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Resende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Vilalobos having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, SC Barras's goal looked a bit too open when André Resende came free, but Márcio Vilalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eurico Vigário sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilário Raminhos in the 95th minute of play forced Carnide's goalkeeper Bernardo Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SC Barras supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Carnide's performance. The match ended with a win for Carnide.
