Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ricardo Brás kicked off to start the match. If Óscar Igrejas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Armindo Carneiros short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Óscar Alves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Almeida in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Óscar Alves saved SC Figueirosa from getting behind. With a little luck, SC Figueirosa's Óscar Alves got control of the ball when Armindo Carneiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute, Mariano Almeida fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Óscar Alves, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in SC Figueirosa's zone, Armindo Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Alves came out of the goal and Armindo Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Figueirosa's goalkeeper Óscar Alves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caires FC's Armindo Carneiro got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Mariano Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Óscar Alves was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Óscar Alves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armindo Carneiro in the 39th minute. Mariano Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Almeida to make the kick off. When Caires FC's Armindo Carneiro in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Figueirosa's goalie prevented a goal. Armindo Carneiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Óscar Alves. In the 67th minute, Caires FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Óscar Igrejas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Brás in the 72nd minute of play forced Caires FC's goalkeeper Manuel Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Óscar Igrejas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Figueirosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Óscar Igrejas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Caires FC's José Azevedo got a free kick in the 77th minute. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Mariano Almeida sped through SC Figueirosa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Óscar Alves. In the 87th minute, Ricardo Brás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the SC Figueirosa defense, Armindo Carneiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Óscar Alves. The SC Figueirosa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Óscar Alves should have stopped the shot. Caires FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Figueirosa for a fine match.
