Zeferino Brás kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Ricardo Veríssimo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Leiria, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emílio Mourão in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oliveira Baptista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd match minute, Lavajo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Leal to maneuver through the defense. Duarte Amado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Porto charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when António Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Lavajo FC defense, Emílio Mourão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliveira Baptista. The Lavajo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliveira Baptista should have stopped the shot. Jacinto Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Vicente Leal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. FigueirinhaFC's Ricardo Veríssimo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Santos in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Santos in the 71st minute of play forced FigueirinhaFC's goalkeeper Ricardo Veríssimo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Óscar Antunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Humberto Gaspar hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute Fábio Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliveira Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
