After the first half Saudel FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bento Gaspar to make the kick off. Jorge Macedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Romão Onofre made a huge save. In the 60th minute Bento Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romão Onofre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Macedo got free with Romão Onofre in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes in the game, Bento Gaspar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Romão Onofre having to interfere. If Jorge Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Bento Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saudel FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bento Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romão Onofre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in SC Emeres's zone, Jorge Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romão Onofre came out of the goal and Jorge Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 95 minutes of play, Saudel FC's Domingos Vieira made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romão Onofre was left in no man's land by his defense there! 99 minutes in the game, Bento Gaspar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Romão Onofre having to interfere. Saudel FC played a much better game than SC Emeres and deserved their victory. The SC Emeres players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
