Thanks to some nice moves Tomás Leiria could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Raimundo Quental however easily saved by the left post. Marco Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Portugal in the 38th minute of play. Álvaro Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Portugal in the 43rd minute of play forced Tardariz FC's goalkeeper Marco Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Tomás Leiria put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Raimundo Quental. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

After a defensive mix-up in Tardariz FC's zone, António Caetano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Coelho came out of the goal and António Caetano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Tomás Leiria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimundo Quental was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. When Alexandre Costa fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tardariz FC's protests and gave Alexandre Costa a yellow card for diving instead. 68 minutes into the game, Veríssimo Benevides was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bairrada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tardariz FC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Bairrada:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tardariz FC:s goal. The referee gave Tardariz FC a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fernando Viegas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bairrada's Raimundo Quental. 5-1. António Caetano might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Coelho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. António Caetano ran back to his position shaking his head. Marco Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Portugal in the 78th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when António Caetano got free with Marco Coelho in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Tardariz FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Eusébio Amaral hit a great ball. António Caetano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Marco Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Caetano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Portugal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusébio Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute, Eusébio Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tardariz FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tardariz FC had won after a very even match.
