Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abelardo Alvarenga kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Inviando's zone, Bento Assis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmacio Montrel came out of the goal and Bento Assis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmacio Montrel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from António Alves went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Dalmacio Montrel made an important save on a dangerous shot by António Alves in the 14th minute. 15 minutes into the match, SC Inviando's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Assis came free, but Dalmacio Montrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bento Assis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bento Assis in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dalmacio Montrel saved SC Inviando from getting behind. Dalmacio Montrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dalmacio Montrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bento Assis, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 3-0 became the score in the 62nd minute when António Alves elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Eduardo Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. António Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the game, Gil Carneiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sul FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Inviando the free kick. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sul FC! Dalmacio Montrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Andrade in the 79th minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute, António Alves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dalmacio Montrel was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Jorge Martins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rui Macedo having to make a save. 90 minutes into the match, Abelardo Alvarenga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rui Macedo. Sul FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abelardo Alvarenga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. In the 94th minute, António Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
