Jorge Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Montepio FC's Abel Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quintino Mesquita in the 13th minute of play. Nuno Lisboa in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Patrício Nóbrega, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 29th minute Quintino Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nuno Lisboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Sacadura kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Montepio FC's Vítor Mota shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 37th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Patrício Nóbrega but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Jamprestes FC's Patrício Nóbrega got control of the ball when Nuno Lisboa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute Hugo Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrício Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

57 minutes into the game, Nuno Lisboa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Patrício Nóbrega was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patrício Nóbrega showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Lisboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Nuno Lisboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Jamprestes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Simões came free, but Patrício Nóbrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Lisboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Patrício Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jamprestes FC's goalkeeper Patrício Nóbrega, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes into the match, Hugo Simões had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrício Nóbrega. Jamprestes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Simões was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Montepio FC had won after a very even match.
