Amadeu Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Gueifão in the 9th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Figueiredo got free with Amadeu Barros in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th match minute, Gaifar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Gomes to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Fernandes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Francisco Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Amadeu Barros made a huge save. Francisco Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Amadeu Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gaifar FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Gaifar FC booed when SC Consolacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Guarda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Consolacao's João Cardoso got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 31 played minutes, Gaifar FC's Lourenço Gomes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Domingos Coimbra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gaifar FC reached it. João Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Coimbra having to interfere. José Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Amadeu Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, José Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Consolacao's supporters rose to their feet, but José Gueifão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Júlio Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The Gaifar FC fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Gaifar FC's João Brás looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Amadeu Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Gueifão in the 59th minute of the match. The supporters of Gaifar FC booed when SC Consolacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Consolacao's goalkeeper Domingos Coimbra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Amadeu Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Figueiredo's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gaifar FC's zone, Francisco Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Barros came out of the goal and Francisco Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If José Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Gaifar FC's Óscar Torres got a free kick in the 84th minute. The corner led SC Consolacao's Daniel Fernandes to fire away a dangerous shot which Amadeu Barros despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Domingos Coimbra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Brás in the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute of the match, Daniel Borges got a very nice opportunity to score, but Domingos Coimbra was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If José Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The SC Consolacao supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gaifar FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Gaifar FC.
