Teófilo Álvares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th match minute, Valado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidónio Lameirinhas to maneuver through the defense. Ivan Passos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cristóvão Telinhos. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Vides stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teófilo Álvares having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Vides in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teófilo Álvares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Alexandre Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Valado FC's Geraldo Vasques slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teófilo Álvares. That made the score 1-1 after 81 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Plácido Malheiro during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Plácido Malheiro hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Geraldo Vasques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
