Ricardo Garcia ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Nave FC booed when Maganha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simão Reis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonçalo Vaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Maganha FC's goalkeeper Torcato Granja had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Garcia. Torcato Granja was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Cláudio Maia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cláudio Maia really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Nave FC's Cláudio Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Maganha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Maia came free, but Torcato Granja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Nave FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Vicente Valente hit a great ball. Cláudio Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olavo Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Maganha FC's Israel Furtado got a free kick in the 45th minute. When Simão Reis fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maganha FC's protests and gave Simão Reis a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nave FC booed when Maganha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Gueifão shot from long distance in the 47th minute, but Torcato Granja was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cláudio Maia made a kick off. Torcato Granja stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricardo Garcia's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Torcato Granja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Maganha FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Maganha FC's Torcato Granja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Maia in the 75th minute of play. Torcato Granja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Torcato Granja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Maia in the 77th minute of the match. Maganha FC's Torcato Granja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Garcia in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Afonso Torres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Torcato Granja was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olavo Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Gonçalo Vaz made a huge save. After 88 minutes of play, Nave FC's Cláudio Maia made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Torcato Granja was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cláudio Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
