Benedito Menezes charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedito Menezes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Rameiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Menezes. Benedito Menezes got his second yellow card in the match during the 10th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Rameiros FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Benedito Menezes hit a great ball. After 13 minutes Rameiros FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Basílio Salvado who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Basílio Salvado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rameiros FC's Pedro Neiva did a great save. Diogo Lemos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Valério Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Neiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Germano Eanes in the 29th minute. After 32 played minutes Casteleiro got a freekick which was hit by Alexandrino Seixas. When Américo Gameiro came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Rameiros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Américo Gameiro couldn't finish the play. Inácio Fraga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Américo Gameiro was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Inácio Fraga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casteleiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Fraga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 54th minute of the match Alcides Osório shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Neiva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Américo Gameiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Neiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Germano Eanes's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Germano Eanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Inácio Fraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valério Figueiredo made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Américo Gameiro sent off a good shot on target. In a very dangerous position, a player in Casteleiro fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Idalécio Câmara walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 77 minutes, Martinho Nunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Casteleiro and the Rameiros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th minute, Martinho Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Germano Eanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rameiros FC's Pedro Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Eanes in the 83rd minute of play. Germano Eanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Eanes in the 94th minute of the match. Inácio Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Neiva having to interfere. Américo Gameiro struck a weak shot in the 100th minute. Valério Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rameiros FC. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
