The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Carnaxide's Dário Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Porto in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paredes in the 5th minute of play forced SC Carnaxide's goalkeeper Dário Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Jesus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dário Paiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Chancelaria's attack was well implemented in the 15th minute, but when Álvaro Porto was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Dário Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Jesus in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dário Paiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Álvaro Porto struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Dário Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chancelaria. Dário Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Jesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Dário Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Jesus in the 26th minute of play. Armando Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, SC Carnaxide's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Porto came free, but Dário Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Álvaro Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Paiva having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Álvaro Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chancelaria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SC Carnaxide getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Jacob Fidalgo hit a great ball. After the first half Chancelaria were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Armando Jesus was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Armando Jesus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dário Paiva was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. SC Carnaxide's Dário Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save SC Carnaxide from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute Armando Jesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Armando Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacob Fidalgo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Henrique Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olívio Portela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Chancelaria's Lucas Amorim got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute Bento Perdigão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, SC Carnaxide's goalkeeper Dário Paiva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Álvaro Porto. Chancelaria's Armando Jesus got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Armando Jesus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dário Paiva was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Chancelaria's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
