In the 2nd minute, Rui Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inácio Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Nogueira in the 14th minute of play. Carlos Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Inácio Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albertino Cruz during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Albertino Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, SC Campos's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Sá came free, but Inácio Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Montijo booed when SC Campos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertino Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Carlos Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inácio Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Nogueira in the 48th minute of play. The SC Campos players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Montijo were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Nogueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Viriato Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Inácio Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th match minute, SC Campos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. After 59 played minutes SC Campos got a freekick which was hit by Albertino Cruz. Daniel Fontes kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Abel Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílcar Guarda in the 62nd minute of the match. Montijo's Abel Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Cruz in the 63rd minute of play. Carlos Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Montijo's Abel Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Ferreira in the 67th minute of play. Albertino Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Montijo's Carlos Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Carlos Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Viriato Vaz struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Inácio Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montijo. Inácio Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Vaz in the 88th minute of the match. Inácio Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Nogueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Inácio Mota made a huge save. In the 96th minute, SC Campos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Viriato Vaz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The SC Campos fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Montijo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
