Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Saúl Amado started the match with the kick off. Cássio Costa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Manuel Alves when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Manuel Alves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cássio Costa in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Maia in the 13th minute of play forced Calvelhe's goalkeeper Angélico Bernardes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Calvelhe's Vladimiro Veríssimo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vladimiro Veríssimo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Calvelhe protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vladimiro Veríssimo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Calvelhe! The referee gave SC Garrido a penalty, 17 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eduardo Neto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Calvelhe's Angélico Bernardes. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo Maia in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angélico Bernardes saved Calvelhe from getting behind. Cássio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Calvelhe's Jaime Assis got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Eduardo Maia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angélico Bernardes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Cássio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 played minutes Calvelhe got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Figueiredo. Luís Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristóvão Bentes kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Angélico Bernardes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Maia in the 40th minute of play. Luís Esteves struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Angélico Bernardes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Garrido. Manuel Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Calvelhe's zone, Sebastião Anjos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angélico Bernardes came out of the goal and Sebastião Anjos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute Cássio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Maia in the 61st minute of play forced Calvelhe's goalkeeper Angélico Bernardes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angélico Bernardes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Maia in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angélico Bernardes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Calvelhe's Angélico Bernardes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Calvelhe from getting a goal against them. Cássio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Alves having to interfere. Vítor Ferro charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vítor Ferro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vítor Ferro kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Eduardo Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Calvelhe's Angélico Bernardes got control of the ball when Luís Esteves tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th match minute, SC Garrido was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in SC Garrido's zone, Cássio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Alves came out of the goal and Cássio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Garrido eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
