The Leões do Feijó fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Leões do Feijó's Joaquim Fontes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cláudio Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Freire having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, José Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paiois FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leões do Feijó the free kick. After 15 played minutes Paiois FC got a freekick which was hit by José Nascimento. After 16 played minutes, Leões do Feijó's Valentim Azeredo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adolfo Brito came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leões do Feijó reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simão Sampaio during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Leões do Feijó getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Simão Sampaio hit a great ball. Cláudio Monteiro struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Filipe Freire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paiois FC. Paiois FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Joaquim Fontes scored to the left of an out of position Adolfo Brito, making the score, 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viriato Pinto in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filipe Freire prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Paiois FC's Artur Carneiro got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 40th minute Joaquim Fontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cláudio Monteiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamilton Loureiro in the 55th minute of play forced Paiois FC's goalkeeper Adolfo Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Bettencourt's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The Leões do Feijó fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Leões do Feijó's Angelo Bettencourt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hamilton Loureiro in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolfo Brito saved Paiois FC from getting behind. Paiois FC's Adolfo Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamilton Loureiro in the 70th minute of play. In the 79th minute of the match Leões do Feijó got a corner. Paiois FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valentim Azeredo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Valentim Azeredo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Paiois FC's Adolfo Brito did a great save. Hamilton Loureiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Brito having to interfere. Adolfo Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The Leões do Feijó fans cheered their team off the field, for while Paiois FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
