SC Amados's Artur Queirós managed to work through Fusion's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Artur Queirós dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Catarino Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Nascimento in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexandre Nogueira during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alexandre Nogueira hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Filipe Vieira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. SC Amados's Vicente Macedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save SC Amados from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
