Cristiano Setúbal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Quintanilha having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacob Cabral got free with Manuel Paredes in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, OLIVAIS FC's Simão Macedo got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 18th match minute, OLIVAIS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Morais to maneuver through the defense. Cristiano Setúbal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Quintanilha having to interfere. Xavier Maia charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xavier Maia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Xavier Maia hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jacob Cabral was the one to do the kick off. OLIVAIS FC's Manuel Paredes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacob Cabral in the 52nd minute of play. Renato Quintanilha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Setúbal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Freixianda's Jacob Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristiano Setúbal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Renato Quintanilha having to make a save. Renato Quintanilha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Borba in the 66th minute of play. OLIVAIS FC's Marco Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renato Quintanilha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Araújo in the 77th minute. David Resende could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Renato Quintanilha made a huge save. In the 85th minute, Renato Borba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute of the match, David Resende got a very nice opportunity to score, but Renato Quintanilha was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. OLIVAIS FC were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after Freixianda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. David Resende took the corner. After taking down the ball on OLIVAIS FC's corner David Resende fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Renato Quintanilha quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Freixianda's Jesualdo Festas got a free kick in the 88th minute. David Resende took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Renato Quintanilha. Renato Quintanilha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.
