The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Waldemar Falkiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the match, João Neves dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adelino Amaro, 1-0. In the 11th minute, Cláudio Morais made a precise shot to the right of Adelino Amaro. Supegal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Emílio Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Vieira in the 16th minute of the match. Adelino Amaro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but João Neves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 18 minute of play. Zenon Oliszewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Amaro having to interfere. Fábio Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute Zenon Oliszewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, João Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Labregos F. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but João Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Cláudio Morais came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Labregos F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio Morais couldn't finish the play. Supegal's Adelino Amaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Supegal from getting a goal against them. Waldemar Falkiewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Amaro having to interfere. Emílio Cabral came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Supegal's Alberto Vieira. But to his dismay, Alberto Vieira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Neves to make the kick off. Cláudio Morais blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adelino Amaro having to make a save. Zenon Oliszewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Adelino Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Neves scored 4-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adelino Amaro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Cláudio Morais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 played minutes Supegal got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Carneiro. The supporters of Supegal booed when Labregos F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. If João Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldemar Falkiewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fábio Valente's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Emílio Cabral firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the Supegal defense, João Neves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adelino Amaro. The Supegal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adelino Amaro should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Labregos F. C. fully deserved thier win.
