When Moisés Moreira fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Canicada's protests and gave Moisés Moreira a yellow card for diving instead. Moisés Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. SC Canicada's Sérgio Ventura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save SC Canicada from getting a goal against them. Kevin Junqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Abreu having to interfere. In the 49th minute, SC Canicada's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Neves fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Basílio Viegas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58thth minute of the game Basílio Viegas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Canicada's Sérgio Ventura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Telmo Regueira sped through Quebrada's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of André Abreu. André Abreu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Junqueira in the 63rd minute. 65 minutes into the match, SC Canicada's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Neves came free, but Sérgio Ventura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Junqueira struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. André Abreu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Canicada. Sérgio Ventura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Viegas in the 69th minute of play. Sérgio Ventura came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Quebrada's Daniel Neves. But to his dismay, Daniel Neves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Daniel Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Daniel Neves took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sérgio Ventura. Sérgio Ventura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The supporters of SC Canicada booed when Quebrada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Daniel Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Canicada's Sérgio Ventura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Viegas in the 98th minute of play. Quebrada were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Canicada for a fine match.
