Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Mei's Abel Ferreira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sérgio Ventura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Guerreiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Guerreiro hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Abel Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Sérgio Ventura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, SC Canicada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Esparteiro to maneuver through the defense. After 20 played minutes SC Mei got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Miranda. With his leg António Baptista managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when SC Canicada's Kevin Junqueira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gaspar Veiga hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Abel Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amável Valadão kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Telmo Regueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Baptista having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Telmo Regueira was the one to do the kick off. When Abel Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the SC Mei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Ferreira couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Cláudio Macedo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Armando Dantas hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. António Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Regueira in the 55th minute of play. Cláudio Macedo took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sérgio Ventura. Sérgio Ventura dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Abel Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cláudio Macedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Sérgio Ventura made a huge save. Sérgio Ventura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Ferreira in the 66th minute of the match. Cláudio Macedo struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Sérgio Ventura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Mei. Cláudio Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaspar Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaspar Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gaspar Veiga hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Cláudio Macedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sérgio Ventura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Telmo Regueira scored 2-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of António Baptista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute, Telmo Regueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The SC Canicada support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
