FARENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Zeferino Poças came free, but Jorge Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeferino Poças in the 48th minute of play forced S.C. FARENSE's goalkeeper Jorge Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Fábio Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Sequeira having to interfere. Temadias's Mateus Sequeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Gueifão in the 54th minute of play. Dimas Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in S.C. FARENSE fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! João Rodrigues did an outstanding performance 64 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-1 to the right of an irritated Mateus Sequeira in the goal. Hermínio Gameiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeferino Poças recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, João Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Mateus Sequeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. FARENSE. If Manuel Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
