BURROS FC's Antero Bernardes quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Delfim Magalhães, made in the 10th minute of the game. Claudemiro Lousada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Manuel Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Tavares in the 15th minute of play forced BURROS FC's goalkeeper Norberto Vilaça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudemiro Lousada in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Amaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norberto Vilaça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Lisboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Claudemiro Lousada's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Manuel Amaro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 24th minute Claudemiro Lousada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montemor FC's Manuel Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudemiro Lousada in the 28th minute of play. Claudemiro Lousada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Amaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montemor FC's goalkeeper Manuel Amaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Lisboa charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Lisboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, BURROS FC's Ricardo Lisboa got a free kick in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Xavier Carneiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montemor FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BURROS FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Montemor FC's Xavier Carneiro got a free kick in the 40th minute. Claudemiro Lousada who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Manuel Amaro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Claudemiro Lousada made the kick off in the second half. If Juliano Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the game, David Lisboa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Norberto Vilaça. David Lisboa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Claudemiro Lousada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Antero Bernardes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Amaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Manuel Amaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudemiro Lousada, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Claudemiro Lousada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BURROS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudemiro Lousada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. BURROS FC's Antero Bernardes got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudemiro Lousada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claudemiro Lousada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Amaro having to interfere. When Antero Bernardes came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the BURROS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antero Bernardes couldn't finish the play. Claudemiro Lousada blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Amaro having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudemiro Lousada in the 86th minute of play forced Montemor FC's goalkeeper Manuel Amaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Xavier Carneiro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 90 minutes had been played. Xavier Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Manuel Amaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudemiro Lousada in the 93rd minute of play. David Lisboa kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Montemor FC's Manuel Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antero Bernardes in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute, BURROS FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joaquim Tavares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. BURROS FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
