But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandrino Espinosa couldn't finish the play. Bento Gueifãos short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Adriano Godinho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rui Reis during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rui Reis hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. The SC Gataria fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when SC Gataria's Alexandrino Espinosa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Miguel Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adélio Ribas in the 58th minute of the match. A collision led to SC Malveira getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Rui Reis hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SC Gataria's Nélson Ferro got a free kick in the 65th minute. André Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 85th minute Bento Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Godinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bento Gueifão in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adriano Godinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexandrino Espinosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SC Gataria's zone, Bento Gueifão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Godinho came out of the goal and Bento Gueifão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Igrejas during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Gataria! In the 96th minute there was a penalty for SC Malveira. Rui Veiga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Adriano Godinho. 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Malveira had won after a very even match.
