In the 13th match minute, Ruivelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Simões to maneuver through the defense. David Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Américo Leiria in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of David Cardoso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fernando Vieira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Nunes's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Pedro Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Anjos, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. David Carneiro hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vieira in the 46th minute of play forced Ruivelas's goalkeeper David Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Américo Leiria was extremely unlucky when he, in the 48th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Vieira to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54thth minute of the game João Vieira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ruivelas's David Cardoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. David Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruivelas's goalkeeper David Cardoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vieira in the 58th minute of play forced Ruivelas's goalkeeper David Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, David Carneiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pedro Santos, passed just outside the right post. David Cardoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Américo Leiria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. David Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Júlio Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atalaia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Júlio Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Cardoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Pedro Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ruivelas. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atalaia FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ruivelas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
