In the 19thth minute of the game Avelino Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soligo FC's David Campos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Soligo FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Óscar Antunes hit a great ball. With a little luck, Soligo FC's David Campos got control of the ball when Jaime Vaz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 29 minutes, Joaquim Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soligo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Soligo FC booed when Vaca Malhada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amável Carvalhal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Óscar Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amílcar Santarém kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Joaquim Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Espírito Santo having to interfere. Óscar Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Óscar Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aparício Azenha hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. 51 minutes into the match, Soligo FC's Daniel Sá broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim Martins was the one to do the kick off. Joaquim Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Óscar Antunes struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Carlos Espírito Santo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soligo FC. After a defensive mix-up in Vaca Malhada FC's zone, Joaquim Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Espírito Santo came out of the goal and Joaquim Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aparício Azenha kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Joaquim Martins recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Carlos Espírito Santo. Joaquim Martins showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. The supporters of Soligo FC booed when Vaca Malhada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentim Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Sá made a great header on Soligo FC's corner, it was just that Vaca Malhada FC's Carlos Espírito Santo managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 82nd minute, Joaquim Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Campos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avelino Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Soligo FC's Joaquim Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Espírito Santo narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
